Joe Cheatham Bass Guitar Joe Cheatham, Full Circle's Bass Guitarist, played his first gig in 1966, when he was 12. He attended Jefferson High School, as a classmate of Kenda, where he played in the band, Muffin, while Vic & Kenda were in a band called Perro Gordo. After high school, Joe played in pick up bands while his musical interests changed from top 40 pop towards more R & B/Jazz oriented influences; and yes, he was a Dead Head! In 1980, a call to fill in for one night led to 9 years as bassist in the country rock band, Jim Cross & The Rythmaires. During the 90's he played in blues/jazz casual groups, eventually returning to popular music as bassist with The Pawns. Although, it's the first time Joe has played with Vic & Kenda, in Full Circle, they all grew up playing the same venues with musicians from the same local pool of players. His common background and performance philosophy, make Joe a natural fit as bassist with Full Circle. |
